WHAT SHOULD I BRING WHEN IÂ SIGN UP FOR A LIBRARY CARD?
Please bring your State ID and a piece of mail with your current address. You must also have two phone numbers where you can be reached as part of the application.
I JUST SIGNED UP FOR A LIBRARY CARD, WHAT CAN I CHECK-OUT?
For the first two weeks, you're limited to two items out at a time.
HELP, MY BOOKS ARE OVERDUE! WHAT SHOULD I DO?
The Corbin Public Library is a fine-free institution. Charges may only be incurred if books are lost or irreparably damaged.
If you are late or think you might be late in returning your items, don't hesitate to call us. In most cases we can renew your items over the phone or even grant you a longer initial checkout if you let us know.
HOW DO I LOG ONTO A COMPUTER? DOES IT COST ANYTHING?
To use a computer we will issue you a one use pin number. If you need more time, ask ahead for an extended session.
There is no cost for access, but you will be responsible for any and all prints that you make, at a rate of 20 cents per black & white and 50 cents per color. If you aren't sure how many prints you are making, please ask the information desk and we will help you get just the information you need.
HOW LONG CAN I USE A COMPUTER FOR?
Generally the computers are set to one hour sessions by default, but you can request a two hour ticket in special cases, such as filling out a job application or working on school work.
DOES YOUR LIBRARY OFFER A PROCTORING SERVICE?
Yes. Please give us a call or e-mail us to set up an appointment. If you have an online exam, we will provide a computer for your use.
